Stucco and Arches

Carpenters have shown up for 2 days in a row!  That is quite a record for them.  Here are a few pics of the progress since my last post.

There are more than 30 of these long bolts and boots around the outside walls of the house.  They are supposed to connect the first floor to the second floor for the Windstorm Certification.  This is a view from the upstairs side.

Here is the view from the first floor.

More steel ties for the windstorm cert.  These attach every rafter to the walls.

They framed out the shower doors.

These next few pics are just for my records.  They show the flashing installed between the garage and the house.  The roof will be covered with shingles, and the wall will be covered with stucco.  These pics are to show the building inspector in case he has questions during the final inspection.

Enough of those boring photos.

This is the prep for the stucco parts of the house.

This is the finished eyebrow arch between the foyer and the great room.

The electrician has been working at night with a generator and lamps.  You can see the wires running through the joists above living room.

Finally, here are some shots of the view from the second floor patio.
